Prometheus and the Titans

In the earliest of times, before the Olympians governed from the heights of Mount Olympus, there was an older and more primitive group of gods: the Titans. Among these ancient gods was Prometheus, whose name directly translated as "forethought", a gift which would determine his destiny and make him stand out from his kin.

Unlike all other Titans, Prometheus survived the Titanomachy by not fighting Zeus, demonstrating his intelligence. He possessed a feature which made him different: his wisdom mixed with compassion, renowned for his wisdom and capacity to see consequences before they happened. Other Titans were transported to the deepest pit of suffering, while Prometheus had supported the victors by remaining neutral.
