Canes Campaign
Saturday, November 8, 2025

Canes is a community-led, holiday fundraiser that uses Roblox’s Developer Exchange to convert creators’ earned Robux into cash for charity. Each December, participants pool their Robux proceeds to support a chosen cause—The Salvation Army Australia—and track impact with a public goal and (recently introduced) leaderboard.

Many sponsors contribute funds (Robux) outright via our platform to the campaign. Others use their own channels—Discords, storefronts, games, and social feeds—to spotlight Canes, drive traffic to the Donate page, and nudge their communities to participate.

A custom-coded leaderboard makes giving feel active instead of abstract. Seeing names and totals update live taps into status, recognition, and progress—all powerful motivators.

Public placement celebrates contributors and nudges peers to join, while the warm meals estimate reframes numbers into tangible impact, making each move on the board feel human.
We released in‑platform apparel and items so players can show support inside the worlds they already love. Designs lean festive and community‑forward to reflect the campaign’s values of generosity, transparency, and warmth. We designed, researched and developed physical merch—clothing—to carry the message beyond the game. These pieces are built for everyday use so supporters can represent the cause at school, work, and events.
Merch turns support into visible identity. Inside Roblox, it sparks conversation and discovery as players see it on display; offline, it keeps the campaign present in daily life. In both cases, the designs celebrate the community behind Canes and the tangible outcomes—like more warm meals—that donations make possible.

The current 2024 Canes shirt is printed with the usernames of all contributors, turning a fundraiser into a shared badge of belonging. It’s a roll call of everyone who showed up, reinforcing that the impact comes from many hands together.

The 2025 shirt will follow the same tradition, adding new names to the tapestry to honor continuity and community. Wearing it signals the values behind Canes—generosity, transparency, and collective action—so the story of giving is visible, proud, and literally woven into the design.

The 2024 campaign didn’t just meet expectations—it created momentum. Hitting roughly 474% of the goal established proof that Roblox creators, sponsors, and players would rally when given a clear, transparent path to impact.

In 2025, that interest translated into scale: crossing 1000% funded, representing about a 149% year-over-year increase from 2024’s level.
The Discord bot lets people send digital candy canes in Discord. Servers install it, members start trading canes, and the activity spreads to other servers. That simple loop has grown its reach to about 100,000 users, keeping Canes fun, visible, and ready for the holiday push.
Canes proves a modern truth: when you combine transparent mechanics, joyful identity, and real outcomes, people show up. Roblox creators, sponsors, and players turned pixels into meals, and a December tradition into an engine of generosity that grows stronger each year.
